An Ormolu Hat Stand
The first thing one sees in viewing this
piece is the brilliant ormolu; how it just sparkles like the day it was
made. The piece is constructed with a long mirror in the back with beautiful
raised designs around the frame of the mirror. The mirror is attached to the
frame of the stand which circular shelves on the left and two half round
shelves on the right. There are two large shelves with the checkerboard
design on them. Four rope like posts support the piece and three of them
have finials on top. (The 4th post is not suppose to have a finial as it
supports a half shelf).
There are a couple of spots that are
difficult to see on two shelves on the left. A great piece for a hall or
