French Porcelain Tea Set
Beautiful tea set with an outstanding
tray that accommodates a teapot, sugar bowl with lid, a creamer and two
cups and saucers. The set is hand-painted with a tray that has basket
full of rose colored flowers and leaves in the center with a border in
blue/gray with a single flower. On the back of the tray is the
identification of the maker with of a sunburst with the initials "GF"
which signifies that Gabriel Fourmaintraux made this set of Desvres in
Calais. The teapot, the sugar holder and creamer all have a small
version of the basket with sprawling flowers. The cups and saucers just
have the flowers on the yellow background. An exceptional quality tea
set!
Measurements: The tray is 3"long with the
handles, the teapot with lid is 1-1/4"h.
