Boulle Dresser
This particular Boulle dresser is quite
unusual. First, it has one long narrow drawer below the marble top. The
front corners of the marble top protrude outward which gives a finer
quality to the piece. Two cupboard doors are at the base with a scalloped
apron beneath. In studying various patterns and designs of the gold
transfer work, I have not seen this pattern before. Also, the mirror
attaches with two sticks that fit snuggly in the two holes on the back of
the marble top. I find the mirror itself quite interesting in its shape
which I feel is early. A fine piece of furniture for a special room
