A Tin Fireplace with Marble Mantle
The pierced decorative trim around the inner part of the fireplace makes a sharp contrast to the black painted back wall! The raised tin fire behind the grate makes a lovely setting. The fluted columns on each side of the fireplace are painted white with gold stripes. Under the marble mantle is scroll work in gold paint which highlights the front. A soft metal fender is painted gold and is attached to the front corners of the fireplace. Some paint is missing on the floor of the fireplace. There is also a tiny chip on the front corner of the marble mantle.
