An Ormolu Base Bell
This is an incredible bell....it has an
ormolu base and mounted on top is a half round metal piece with a little
bead sticking up on top. One presses down on the bead which goes down to
the metal part. This rings the bell! As shown in a photo, you can see how
the metal ball underneath hits the side of the metal top as you push down
on the tiny bead on top. Quite a special piece! This bell could be on a
dinner table to call servants or on a counter in a shop to summon the
owner.
Measurements: About 1-1/2" tall (to
the top of the bead) and it is 1"w.
