A Standing Rack for Newspapers or Music
This is a delicate stand made of soft metal
with a brown asphaltum wash. There is a holder or basket like piece in the
center with elaborate decoration painted gold of a lyre placed among
flowers and leaves. This decoration appears on both sides of the holder.
Papers can be inserted in the holder. Decorative open pierce work is found
above and below the holder. The feet protrude outwards on the back and
front of the stand.
