Rare Rock and Graner Etagere
This exquisite piece of tin furniture made
by Rock and Graner has one of the best forms in furniture. The
grain-painted surface is mint, with scalloped edges on each of the three
shelves! The scroll work on each of the shelves connects the piece
together and creates a delicate look to the design. The graduated shelves
are indeed spectacular as the one on top has the open pierce work that
appears like a fence in its form. The bottom shelf has serpents that are
so detailed with scales that it looks real! The snake is formed into a
foot to support the piece. One can see the head is at the bottom and the
coiled body is attached to the shelf. The two snake legs are in the front
where as the back corner has a simple turned leg. Just an incredible
piece! Standing 6-1/4" tall, this certainly makes a statement in any room.
