A Rare Boulle Harpsichord
The harpsichord has gold transfer work on all the sides, top and on the cover to the keyboard. These elaborate gold designs have fancy scroll work and lyres amongst lilies! The top lifts to reveal three depressible keys and the under the top is the original blue paper. The harpsichord has a triangular shape where it is widest at the keyboard and narrowest at the back. There are two turned legs to support the keyboard and one leg at the far back. A very striking piece for that special music room or parlor!
