A Fine Antique Soldier
Dollhouse soldiers are distinguished by their uniforms, helmets, and hats. We can identify the rank of a soldier by his uniform and this particular one is wearing a red jacket which tells us he is a part of the infantry. He is wearing a “Busby”- a military head-dress made of fur. This soldier has wonderful hair strokes at the temple and has small brown eyes which indicate he was probably made by the Kestner Company. He has a sword at his side and a wire attached to his boots so that he is able to stand by himself. His mustache is finely molded too. (some slight staining on back of uniform).
