A Rare Kestner Étagère
This is a very rare piece that I seldom see
for sale. The three tiered shelves are beautifully scalloped in the dark
rosewood and the front and sides have a white trim. The construction is
amazing! The largest shelf is at the bottom with four finials at the corners
that go through the wood as feet for the étagère. Then four turned columns
go through the corners of the second shelf to become finials. Four more
turned columns go through the top shelf to become finials on top. This
lovely piece would be perfect for holding Bristol glass as the delicate
pieces would contrast with the dark wood.
