A Victorian Pickle Castor
The shape and design of this castor is usually referred to as a “Pickle Castor”, but could be used it for other foods or sauces. It looks great on a dining room table or on a sideboard! The green glass container doesn’t come out but is very secure inside the frame work. The soft metal decoration for the handle and the lattice work around the bottom gives the castor a very elaborate appearance. The pewter/like lid is very special with its scalloped edging and fluted raised center.
