A Fine Ivory Piano with a Bookcase
This unusual piece of ivory is all original without any repairs. The quality and detail certainly apparent as you examine all of the sides. The size and shape is quite different with the book case on top. To me, the shape of the piano is more like a spinet. Certain parts of the piece have a darker cream color, perhaps to make them stand out more. The turned legs, candlesticks and the knob on the door that open the bookcase. The piano keys are well defined and the black keys are raised, the music sheets are carved and have painted musical symbols on them. The main parts of this piece have a soft filigree look in the way they are placed as door panels, sides and on top for a pediment.
A fine piece for the collector of ivory!
