A Large Boulle Marble Top Cabinet
We may be familiar with this cabinet in a smaller scale, but I don’t remember one this large. I believe I had it in a chapel as the gold transfer work has several religious motifs on the front of this four drawer chest. The second drawer show designs that reminds of a church stain glass window and the third drawer has crosses in what looks like more cut out work of quatrefoils with the frame of the windows extending down to the third drawer. The top drawer is narrow and slightly protrudes over the larger drawers! The white corner posts, the white trim between each drawer and the marble on top makes this piece quite elegant. It is in excellent condition and stands on four tiny blocks of wood.
