An Outstanding Double Sconce

A very decorative sconce with two branches protruding forward  is made of a pot metal with two candleholders. The two branches are highly decorative with scroll work throughout and are painted with an asphaltum wash. The back piece that would lay against the wall has a bulbous base done in asphaltum also. The candleholders are painted gold. It makes quite a striking piece with the combination of gold and asphaltum! There is a splendid holder at the top for hanging. I have some candles that would be appropriate,- a creamy wax made by dipping.

Measurements: From the top of the wall piece to its tip at the bottom, this is 2-1/8

Circa: 19th Century

Price: $195
