An Ivory Chess Set on a Stand
This unusual chess table has 8 sides! This
octagonal shaped ivory table has a square board of black and white squares
surrounded by beautiful cut out scroll work. All eight sides have cut out
work too. (Note: Some staining in a few places on side). In one of the side
pieces is a drawer that pulls out which has many of the red and white chess
pieces. I have not ever set up the chess board as the pieces are so tiny.
They just set on top of each square on the board. If you know how many
pieces are in a chess game, I could count them). The three scrolled legs are
all intact and have not been glued or repaired. A great piece for that
special parlor!
Measurements: 2-1/2"h. The table is 1-5/8"w.
