This Parian doll is known as the “Empress Eugenie” doll and is rarely seen in the smaller sizes. She has a pink luster scarf with a feather and tassel which are not glazed. She is wearing a molded snood which is like a net to hold the hair in place at the back of her head. She was made by the Kister doll company. Her original clothing is still intact with a lace and net gown. There is a panel on the front of her gown which is done in purple silk and trimmed in lace. The purple silk is deteriorating due to age. She has black flat shoes. ( which makes her around 1850). She is a rare doll with exceptional facial features and blond molded hair. This was a special doll from my collection.
