A Gothic Boulle Chair
I often like to find a different chair to place with a desk or table. As you can see, the seat is upholstery in a purple silk with gold Dresden paper trim. The back of the chair has some unusual gold transfer work with images such as the quatrefoil found at the top of the chair, just under the crown. There are an abundance of leaves streaming down the sides in gold transfer work. The front legs have a less decorative appearance, but are outlined in gold. This chair would be great with a desk or up against a wall in the hall etc.
