A Rare and Unusual Thermometer
This ormolu thermometer has lovely scroll work at the top with fish heads on the sides. The borders on the sides of the thermometer become more extravagant with heavier scrollwork that frame the circular portrait of a lady. This piece balances on two feet and is held up in the back by a large support stick.
