An
Early Lithograph Set of Furniture
There are nine pieces to this set!! What would have been carved in wood, now
appears on paper with such detail! The dresser has a mirror with lithography
portraying carved wooden posts and columns. The table top has leaves in a soft
gold with a brown background. Below the table top is a door that opens to reveal
two shelves. The leaf design appears on all four sides but in different designs!
Another piece of furniture is a cabinet that opens with three shelves. A round
table with paper leaf designs appears on the top while the base has three
sprawling legs are painted black. The four chairs have paper backs with soft
Brown velvet seats. The legs are carved and turned with staining in a dark
brown. The sofa is elegant- with its scalloped back and slanted sides with a
beaded trim. (Note: Front right foot has been repaired). The upholstery in soft
brown velvet matches the chairs. The oval mirror has the same gold and brown
coloring work done in scrolls).
Measurements: The cabinet is 4-1/2"h. The sofa is 2-7/8"h. x 4-3/4"w. The table
is 2-1/2" h. x 2-3/4"in diameter
