A Beautiful Boulle Washstand
I believe that it is the gold transfer work that appears on the flat table surface, on the drawer and on the shelf that gives it such a rich appearance. The side panels that enclose the top area are carefully proportioned, the lovely drawer that is rounded on the sides and the great turned legs which are attached to a shelf – make an outstanding piece. The white banding under the drawer just enhances the piece. The staining is rich and dark! Excellent condition. (It is finer looking than the photo)
