A Grand Large Scale Secretary
This secretary appears to have a walnut stain with gold decoration that is very muted into the wood. I tried to capture this detail in the last photo. Even the narrow trim work on the top has gold design. As you can see, there is a narrow drawer at the top, a drop front section to see the inside and three more drawers below. The first photo shows the desk drop front opened which shows a great interior. There is a recessed mirror on the back wall and an rea in front of the mirror that allows desk accessories to be placed. Tinny gilt beaded paper trim and a white wooden column are found on each side. At the top is deeply scalloped trim work with gold transfer work that is just wonderful!! Below this section is a single narrow drawer that has three knobs to make it look like three drawers. For a large scale house, this would be a wonderful addition.
