A Fine Dollhouse Lady
I have had this doll for a long time. She was sold to me by Patsy Powers
who was co-owner of the Atlanta Toy Museum. Her outfit is so well suited
for her. Her bisque head and limbs are delicate with more detail than most
dolls. For example, her hands have the thumb separated from her fingers.
She does have bent arms. Her hair is rolled back and with that fancy hat
which is croqueted, it looks like straw and the black trim work is also
croqueted. Her black fitted jacket is opened to show her lace blouse. She
has pierced earrings on and her long satin brown skirt has black
needlework on the front of the skirt. A beautiful cummerbund is found at
her waist that goes perfectly with her outfit. She is wearing black shoes
with heels.
Measurements: She is 6" tall and you must add ½" for her hat!
Circa: Late 19th Century
Price: $550
