Boulle Desk
As you can see from the photos, this desk is in excellent condition. The gold transfer work is brilliant and all the many parts to this desk are all intact.
The cubby holes are set between the flanking doors with the green paper as fresh as the day it was made. There are similar crowns on top of the large compartments with doors but the crown over the cubby holes is larger and more elaborate. The beautiful gold transfer work on the desk’s writing surface is outstanding. The delicate cabriole legs certainly add to the charm of the desk.
