An Elegant Oval Filigree Mirror
The oval mirror frame and all the filigree decoration has an asphaltum wash on it. This was how they were made back in the 19th Century. The detail that was achieved in the borders around the mirror are incredible. At the top we have stems and leaves from plants intertwined with grapes and flowers. To make it even more effective, there are some open work pieces that emphasize the design. At the bottom of the frame is a different ;motif which is smaller but still very charming with lots of leaves in various forms. This mirror would be beautiful over a fireplace or sideboard or even in a hall over a table.
