Tynietoy Treasures [7]
This photo encompasses several pieces of furniture in the “red and black” family to go with the Japanned pieces of furniture.
We can see the fine secretary again with the red interior with its accessories, a red Queen Anne mirror, the red folding screen with Oriental scenes,
and a chair and settee with rush seats. The demi lune table also has a softer red color with gold decoration!
In this photo, we can see the maple butterfly table to the left.
What the owner wants to show is the similarity in the art work of the oval picture on the wall,
the square firescreen and the painted flower design on the seat of the chair.
The artist has applied the same technique in all three pieces!
Another collector has sent in photos of her Tynietoy pieces! She calls this the study and music room.
We can view the astor spinet with its matching stool, a lovely mahogany secretary that has beautiful raise panel doors,
a round tilt top table and four matching Empire chairs with painted black seats with decorative flowers. Her large wall to wall rug is gorgeous!
She has created a very nice setting that one could use in a display cabinet!
This Chippendale dining room has all its furnishings in mahogany with the chair seats painted blue and
other accessories, including a rug with shades of blue in it. The corner cupboard, demi-lune table, sideboard, round Sheraton table make a
nice setting for a dining room. A fireplace with the Terry clock on top of the mantle make it a very warm and cozy room!
The Victorian bedroom includes the Tynietoy spool bedroom set consisting of the bed and dresser with mirror and two Victorian side chairs.
The New England cradle, bookcase and fireplace add some interesting pieces. Accessories add more warmth like the silhouette pictures
on the wall and the Empire mirror over the fireplace. An attractive rug certainly ties the room together.
